Real Estate Experience
I have been a Realtor® for over 11 years now and have a great deal of experience in Real Estate. I have been a Real Estate Broker for the past 7 years and opened my own Brokerage, Realocity Realty Inc. Since being a Realtor® I have sold many different properties including farmland, luxury properties, condos, investment properties, and out-of-town properties. I have two main areas of focus: Residential homes and investment Real Estate I have recently acquired my licence in British Columbia and can now represent clients in both Ontario and British Columbia.
Investment Real Estate
Investment Real Estate is very high-paced, requiring quick decision making and the ability to negotiate effectively. I help investors find great Real Estate investments, including single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, student housing and multi-unit apartments. I even find properties where investors can change the property’s use to increase its equity and cash flow significantly.
My Education
I graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2005 with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning), and in 2006 I earned my Masters of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MBET). Both degrees tie in great with Real Estate. My Planning degree taught me about city development, zoning, by-laws, and many other Real Estate related topics. MBET taught me how to run a successful business, negotiate a deal, strategize, communicate effectively, and other invaluable skills that help me succeed as a Realtor.
My Personal Real Estate Endeavours
My first experiences in Real Estate included helping my father manage his large Real Estate portfolio of multi-unit buildings, starting at a very young age. In addition, I learned a lot from my mother who is also a Realtor. I started personally investing in Real Estate and finding my interest in the field continued to grow. I owned and managed a student income property as well as bought and flipped a 100-year-old house. I have converted a single-family home into a triplex going through the whole zoning and building permit process. The home was completely redone and all units separated including all utilities. The property value has since skyrocketed and also cash flows a great deal. I also own an apartment condo and another investment property.
My Personal Life
I now live in Cowichan Bay British Columbia with my wife Julie, our sons Alex & Jaden, daughter Cadence, and our dog Chipper. As a family, we love to attend community events and travel when we get the chance. When I am not working hard as a Broker, you’ll probably find me wine touring, playing Blackjack in Vegas, on the slopes out West or simply hanging out with family and friends.
