My love of real estate goes back to when I used to go help my father, Severino pour foundations when I was very young. I remember going to his construction sites with him and I would be in charge of the wheelbarrow. If I walk by a new build today, the smell of the forms and concrete bring me right back to those days.
My first deal was in 1978 when my husband and I bought our first home in Waterloo for $51,000. I also remember the first open house I had when I was expecting our twins in 1981 and ironically enough my son Nick ( now my broker ) was one of the twins I was carrying.
I enjoy keeping up with the market and over the last 40 plus years I have seen many ups and downs in the market but one thing for sure, real estate is a great investment.
I am a people person and love to help. My greatest satisfaction is helping people find their home.
Over the years we have owned apartment buildings and have also done flips and we are currently doing one now.
I live in Waterloo with my husband George. We have lived here since 1977.
